Lackland Air Force Base Transportation Management Plan

The Lackland Air Force Base Transportation Management Plan (TMP) comprises a set of efforts to identify strategic actions necessary to meet current needs at the installation, as well as to prepare for future growth. A traffic engineering study was undertaken as part of this plan to assess current road and traffic patterns at the installation and determine current capabilities. This report summarizes those efforts and provides recommendations for short-term solutions to existing problems as well as long-term solutions for accommodating future developments at the installation. The TMP included strategies to reduce congestion at key intersections, support the bicycle network, modal integration, parking efficiency, reduce traffic volumes, and enhance the installation experience during basic military training ceremonies.
