Lytle Street Construction Management & Inspection

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Larson Design Group (LDG) provided construction management and inspection services for the construction of Lytle Street and the associated infrastructure for the Hazelwood Green, a 178-acre brownfield redevelopment site at the former LTV coke works along the Monongahela River, in the Hazelwood section of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Among the many services provided by LDG were utility coordination, contractor payment recommendations, as-built drawings, and change order management.

The project included the construction of 3,600 feet of two-lane access road, bump-out parking areas, sidewalks, a bike path, and numerous planters. Utility and project coordination involved Duquesne Light Company, Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority, Peoples Gas, Comcast, Verizon, the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire, the Pittsburgh Department of Permits, Licenses, and Inspection (PLI), the Regional Industrial Development Corporation (RIDC), Oxford Development Company, and CSX railroad.
