For this project, Larson Design Group (LDG) provided design and construction services for a 44.1’ long single-span prestressed spread box beam bridge and a 10.0′ high x 24.0′ span precast concrete arch culvert.
LDG combined the two structures and an additional two bridge rehabilitations from PennDOT into one set of project drawings that was let as one project. Coordination between PennDOT and LDG personnel was critical to ensure a complete and accurate bid package.
Traffic was detoured around the project site during construction. Significant coordination took place during the design process due to the proposed detour length and the effect on the local school district.
LDG worked with PennDOT to advance the project letting date from October 2010 to June 2010 to take advantage of available transportation funding.
