State & Local Government Services

Architecture & Interior Design

The architectural and interior design considerations for buildings in the state and local government market include achieving a balance between the building’s function and cost in order to ensure that the maximum value is received for each taxpayer dollar spent on the project. Our approach to architecture and interior design is focused on delivering projects that are technically and visually innovative, sustainable, efficient, unique and exciting – and that clients are proud to have in their community.

Construction Services

LDG's cadre of certified construction services staff is dedicated to representing your interests at the construction site. GIS / Asset Management

With a wide variety of asset management methods available, LDG believes that a one-size-fits-all approach will often fall short of meeting client expectations. Instead, LDG works with clients to understand their specific capabilities and needs and to identify a complete, tailored asset management program. LDG is experienced in standardizing data into widely recognized formats that are compatible with dozens of applications. Our highly-effective solutions help clients with the information they need to make decisions; complex databases to track assets, manage and query data, and analyze the growth trends or patterns of a region. As an award-winning member of the Esri Partner Network, we have unique knowledge and abilities to provide inventive and highly customized geographic information solutions for even the most complex projects. Our staff expertly supports the entire workflow from collection and analysis to mapping to data conversion, database design, and solution development.

Landscape Architecture

LDG knows that when done right, landscape architecture helps strengthen communities, grow businesses, improve our quality of life, and provide a balanced environment for future generations. Our experts are immersed in the planning, design, preservation, and management of landscapes. We use our imagination and experience to help integrate landscapes with the built and natural environment, creating a harmonious relationship that brings a holistic, aesthetic impression to its users while supporting the goals of our clients.

M/E/P/FP Engineering

Our engineers take an exceedingly thorough approach to evaluating the unique MEP and fire protection engineering requirements associated with each project. From ensuring the correct level of heating and cooling throughout a building, to providing electrical service supporting current and future operations, and ensuring the appropriate level of fire protection: Our goal is to design systems that are engineered within the context of the project. Additionally, our LEED® certified professionals evaluate the life cycle cost analysis in order to minimize operating expenses and energy needs, increase efficiency, and consider the long-term value for each project.

Permitting

Permitting, compliance, and regulations can be complex. LDG understands how to expedite the permitting process at the local level for both architecture and construction projects. Our experienced, in-house team knows how to work with local jurisdictions to navigate the permitting process in order to ensure projects can move forward.

Planning

The key to successful planning in the state and local government market is understanding how a particular building or facility helps the client meet their overall mission. Our landscape architects, environmental specialists, engineers, and designers support everything from conceptual sketches to full master plans and design guidelines. We are accustomed to helping clients understand construction costs and we have even supported filing the required paperwork to obtain project grants and/or matching funds.

Transportation Engineering

Our transportation engineers, designers, and technicians provide comprehensive bridge engineering, bridge safety inspection, highway engineering, traffic planning and engineering, and construction inspection services. From traffic studies to major interstate improvements, from small bridges and culverts to expansive bridge structures, we are committed to finding solutions that meet each project’s unique budget and timeline.
