Villanova Station Construction

This project included boring a 15-inch diameter tunnel under four active railroad tracks and constructing new ADA ramps and stairs near the active tracks. LDG provided construction engineering services including the design of temporary excavation supports, dewatering system design, geotechnical recommendations, formwork analysis, and support for the tunnel boring operation. LDG also provided supported as unexpected geotechnical conditions were encountered and design modifications were required for the sheet piles.
