Under three open-ended contracts – worth a combined total of $6.75 million in fees – LDG has 13 work orders with PennDOT at various stages of design, permitting, bidding and construction administration in six counties statewide. These projects have included vehicle wash facilities, staging buildings, storage sheds, and a sanitary force main replacement. As part of our open-ended contracts, LDG was responsible for the site adaptation of four PennDOT vehicle wash stations – one-fifth of the 20 total that are being constructed across the state. These 2,760-square-foot stations are crucial to washing road maintenance vehicles free of salt, snow, and ice as quickly as possible after use to prolong their lifespan. LDG helped PennDOT accomplish a quick turnaround on the first of these four in less than a year, completing the project in November 2018 after initial contact from PennDOT in December 2017.
