Larson Design Group (LDG) provided design services for a 36’-long pre-stressed concrete spread box beam bridge on reinforced concrete abutments, with a 30′ curb-to-curb roadway to replace a structurally deficient bridge.
The new structure was adequately sized to convey the 50-year design storm, and was constructed on a similar horizontal and improved vertical alignment. It provides a safer crossing over Millers Run. The bridge also features a sidewalk on each side for pedestrians; the right sidewalk was widened to accommodate a future trail per the request of Loyalsock Township.
LDG performed complete design and construction consultation services, including structure, survey, site drainage and roadway design, as well as shop drawing review.
