Weis Markets Distribution Center

Weis Markets expanded their existing Milton Distribution Center located on approximately 167 acres of land. The project consisted of over 200,000 square feet of additional distribution space to permit the expansion of refrigerated dairy/deli, fresh meat, and freezer areas. In addition to the proposed building expansions, work included the relocation and redesign of an additional access drive to Industrial Park Road, a stabilized maintenance drive to link the east side of the facility to the proposed building expansions located on the west side, paved truck receiving/staging areas, 250,000-gallon water tank and pump house (fire suppression), a 3,000kw diesel powered emergency generator, and stormwater management facilities. The project also involved intensive environmental permitting and coordination between several regulatory agencies.
