New Columbia Grain Mill

Larson Design Group (LDG) provided architecture, survey, civil engineering, permitting, utility coordination, and construction administration services for the Country View Family Farms Feed Mill, one of the largest and most advanced facilities of its kind in the region.

Sited on a 100-acre rail-served property, the mill features a 176-foot-tall tower, four 150-foot-tall grain silos, and a 7,600-linear-foot rail loop track designed in coordination with North Shore Railroad. At startup, the facility can process up to 8,000 tons of feed per week, with future expansion to 10,000 tons.

Today, the feed mill operates around the clock and employs more than 50 people, sourcing grain from both local farmers and out-of-state deliveries. The project not only supports nearly one million hogs annually but also strengthens Pennsylvania’s agricultural economy and the state’s position as a national leader in pork production.
