Pedestrian Bridge over Sober’s Run (Bridge B)

The proposed project consisted of replacing the existing single span pedestrian and equestrian bridge with a new prefabricated weathering steel bridge located in Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center. The bridge is located on a trail system inside the park. The proposed project included replacement of the existing substructure units with new reinforced concrete stub type abutments with an architectural surface treatment, simulating the using of stone masonry./

New bituminous trail approaches to the bridge and timber plank railing were also constructed as part of the proposed project.

This structure (Bridge B) was completed concurrently and let concurrently with another pedestrian bridge structure (Bridge A), also located in the Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center.
