After a fire destroyed St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Larson Design Group (LDG) was approached to design the new replacement facility. The new two-story facility with full basement provides 22,128 s.f. of space. The exterior construction is brick with metal stud backup.
The new sanctuary provides seating for 250 people and includes a chancel, choir space and sacristy. A second floor classroom was designed with a folding partition to allow additional balcony seating that overlooks the sanctuary. A new social hall with kitchen facilities provides for social activities and basketball play. The second floor provides classrooms, a library and a conference room.
The basement area was left unfinished during the original construction. This would allow the Church to develop additional spaces as needed in the future.
A circular drive with covered portico provides a drop off area during inclement weather.
