Larson Design Group (LDG) was originally hired to perform a lodge feasibility study and park master plan for the 700-acre county park.
LDG teamed with Desmone Architects for the lodge and cabins and with Integra Realty Resources for the feasibility study.
The first part of the master plan began in 2016 and included demolition of multiple buildings and pool facilities, design and construction of new cabins, pool and splash park, restroom/shower facilities, soccer field, softball field, and new underground utilities. LDG is managing the construction and coordinating the projects that the Army Reserves have taken on for the next year.
The overall design goal was to take a county park and create a destination park that includes lodging, golfing, fishing, hiking, and biking while utilizing the entire property.
Brooke County Park Commission chose LDG over others for their dedication to helping the client throughout the process and for LDG’s Visions and Values.
