Chickasha Downtown Park

Chickasha Community Foundation, Inc.
Chickasha, OK

The new Chickasha Downtown Park serves the entire community and was designed to be an asset and draw to historic downtown Chickasha. It is located on seven acres near the historic Rock Island Depot and other historic buildings. The goal is to not only enhance the annual Festival of Lights and Christmas activities but be heavily utilized throughout the year.

The master plan incorporated input from a broad range of stakeholders. When fully constructed, the park will include a water feature, walking paths, a concert stage and food truck court. Phase 1 – the north end of the new park – includes a 50’ version of the famous “leg lamp” from A Christmas Story. The fiberglass sculpture was constructed by a local business. It also includes a University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma arts plaza and remodel of the old freight building on-site.
