Sapulpa Middle School

Sapulpa Public Schools

Sapulpa Middle School underwent a massive reorganization to modernize the existing 66,015sf structure built in 1977. To keep the district from having to build another school for their growing student population, we also designed a 27,000 sf classroom addition that hosts a storm shelter sized for their expanding school population. New foodservice, media center, collaboration spaces, professional learning center, administration/counselor offices, and entrance were relocated off of the central commons space along with renovated band/choir suite and gym. Daylighting using large clerestory windows and an ordered color palette are just some of the major design themes for this project.
