Mansfield University (MU) is a state-owned campus with widely-recognized education and music programs. To meet its growing, diverse student population, MU asked Larson Design Group (LDG) to provide design that covered various-sized projects.
Via a five-year, open-end contract, LDG provided site design, land development, and surveying for a 2,800 sq. ft. Child Care Center, a stand-alone slab-on-grade structure to satisfy the needs of parents attending classes on campus.
LDG also provided structural renovations and mechanical and electrical upgrades to South Hall, a four-story building with basement. Handicap improvements consisted of installation of an elevator within the building shell, lobby renovations, new layout of the north entry on the first floor, and restroom renovations for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance.
