MQ-9 Ground Control Station Operations Facility and Operations/Command Center

The MQ-9 facility includes a two-story 38,461-square-foot operations and command center and a two-story 38,461 ground control station. These buildings provide 24/7 operational capabilities and are equipped with redundant power, communication, and mechanical systems.

Each building contains numerous spaces to support the program, including briefing rooms, offices, data centers, simulators, and mission planning. Both contain secure spaces accredited to comply with ICD 503/705. Both buildings were designed to meet UFC 1-200-01 High Performance & Sustainable Building Requirements and are verified as compliant with the Federal Guiding Principles by the Green Building Initiative.

LDG served as the overall Designer of Record on this design-build project and provided design management, architecture, interior design, sustainability, and building information modeling services.
