Boston Pop-up Kiosks

LDG provided architectural as well as structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering for a MODLOGIQ (formerly NRB (USA), Inc.) project in Boston, Massachusetts. LDG services included calculating the structure’s maximum reaction loads and coordinating with the foundation engineer; reviewing the kiosks for code compliance including ADA accessibility, energy compliance, and life safety; reviewing the lighting, power, and data layouts; and reviewing the HVAC system requirements and layout. The project included installing nine individual kiosk structures adjacent to a community space known as Seaport Common. The kiosks were available as 169- or 299-square foot models and are used to house small retail establishments.
