LDG provided geotechnical and design services for a soil nail wall at a natural gas power plant site in Jackson Township, Cambria County, Pennsylvania. The wall measures 700 feet long by 40 feet high and has required the installation of 487 soil nails with lengths ranging from 20 feet to 45 feet. This long-term solution was completed at a fraction of the cost of a conventional retaining wall and is a visual enhancement to the location and surrounding topography. Clients are increasingly turning to soil nail wall solutions for retaining walls with lower expense and higher level of aesthetic appeal.
