Recycling & Transfer Station Projects

Recycling Center and Transfer Station – Baltimore, MD
Larson Design Group (LDG) provided documentation and evaluation of the existing buildings for a residential recycling center and transfer station. Services included mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and structural engineering. This work covered three areas of the Processing Center—Single Stream Residential Recycling, Transfer Station, and the Loading Dock—totaling 120,000 square feet.

Material Recovery Facility – Jacksonville, FL
LDG provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and fire protection engineering for a Material Recovery Facility (MRF). The pre-engineered steel building, approximately 400’ by 170’, includes recycle/tipping and processing areas, along with multiple stories of offices, observation, locker, and toilet rooms. The facility can operate as single stream, dual stream, or commercial single stream. Project design also included an elevator, scale house, scales, ramps, stairs, and a pre-engineered bridge structure for access. The facility is designed to achieve LEED Certification.

Transfer Station – Farmington, DE
LDG provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural engineering design services for a new transfer station in Delaware with a footprint of approximately 100’ by 197’.
