Alamo Drafthouse Cinema

Larson Design Group (LDG) provided architectural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural, and fire protection engineering services as well as construction administrative services for the remodel and rebranding of a recently closed 65,700-square-foot movie theater to be re-opened as an Alamo DraftHouse Cinema in Mountainview, California. The design included reseating all the theaters, as well as remodeling the bar, kitchen, and ticket areas. LDG incorporated client-provided details related to the fixtures, signage, interior graphics, and design features into the design. LDG coordinated all permitting requirements with local jurisdictions based on scope of work and with the client’s permit expeditor. LDG was responsible for managing and tracking the permit submission and approval process. LDG’s construction administrative services included RFIs, shop drawing review, and coordination meetings as needed.
