Watching a project for a major retail brand unfold comes with its own sense of satisfaction, but being trusted with its transition into an iconic flagship location is another level of gratification.
“This location ended up becoming the particular high-end ‘look’ that the company is investing heavily in,” Kara Demmien, Associate Project Manager in Larson Design Group (LDG)’s Williamsport office, said of LDG’s work on the recently-completed DTLR Villa location in downtown Philadelphia. “A flagship store is integral to a company’s success because it acts as a showcase – it’s meant to draw customers into the brand, above just making sales.”
Initially, LDG was brought on to transform the location into a new Sneaker Villa store in 2014. After Sneaker Villa and DTLR, a similar urban lifestyle retailer, merged in 2017, LDG was entrusted with transitioning the location into a flagship store for the new brand.
“LDG was trusted with multiple aspects of this important project, from establishing it as a Villa store to changing it over to DTLR to helping the company create their unique flagship look,” Kara said. “We also knew that the Philadelphia area is a crucial market for the company and that we were being relied on to deliver an exceptional finished product for them.”
