In the fast-paced world of retail, constant change is a must to reflect the consumer’s tastes and lifestyle. Floor plans and corresponding materials such as lighting, store displays, and façade changes are updated to better facilitate the retail shopping experience.
LDG has been providing construction documents for the adaptive reuse of retail spaces acquired by Michaels.
These are then converted into Michaels Arts and Crafts Stores throughout the country. As of October 2012, LDG has provided adaptive reuse design services for over 30 Michaels store locations in the Eastern, Central and Western United States.
The services provided are dependent upon the specific needs and location of each retail space. These services include building survey, architecture, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural design, permitting and construction administration.
LDG utilizes a well-developed internal protocol to ensure that the short turnaround time required by the client is met without sacrificing the quality of the documents produced. All information is electronically stored, and Project Management Websites are used to communicate schedules, milestones and provide file access with client, contractors and other parties that need quick access.
LDG has provided services directly with Michaels and as a sub-consultant to other architects.
