Director - Retail Design
A dedicated professional who embraces leadership and client service, Alex Ramon, CDP LEED AP, brings more than 25 years of experience in architecture and development to his role with Larson Design Group (LDG).
Alex serves as Director of Retail Operations and Office Leader for LDG’s Phoenix office, where his primary focus is the management of a broad range of project types through entitlement, construction documents and the construction phase for retail, commercial, residential and multifamily projects. He consistently delivers retail and restaurant–specific needs for municipality schedules, working with client construction managers, understanding client delivery expectations and maintaining store opening dates.
Alex leads his team in working closely with all engineering disciplines throughout the project to communicate client and design intent. He has been a key part in the value engineering process in creating prototypes for several national brands and has created program standards for new-to-the-market concepts and has managed numerous prototypes for national retailers in locations throughout the country.
In addition to his daily responsibilities, Alex is an active member of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and serves as its current State Operations Chair; he also is part of the Urban land Institute (ULI) Young Leaders Group In Arizona, and volunteers at Arizona State University Design School to help and mentor graduate students for work place preparation. He also is an ICSC-certified Development, Design and Construction Professional and a United States Green Building Council (USGBC)-certified LEED Accredited Professional and was selected by Engineering News and Record magazine (ENR) as a Top 20 under 40 Industry Leader in January 2014.
Alex received a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Phoenix and a Master’s Degree in Management and Strategy from Michigan State University.
