WILLIAMSPORT, PA – Since 1989, Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity (HFH) has been working toward its vision of “A world where everyone has a decent place to live.” In Williamsport, PA, the nonprofit has created opportunities for local families to build affordable homes with the support of volunteers, local organizations, and community partners.
Larson Design Group (LDG), an award-winning, employee-owned national architecture, engineering, and consulting firm, has been helping make those community connections by providing pro bono design services for Greater Lycoming HFH for 7 years. Our team has contributed architectural drawings, as well as civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering, for homes across multiple HFH projects.
In 2025, LDG continued its commitment by supporting the Scott Street housing project, updating plans for two new mirror-image homes. The designs feature a slightly shortened footprint, a mini-split HVAC system, an added half bath, and panelized exterior walls fabricated by local career and technical education programs – giving students hands-on learning while helping families achieve homeownership.
