LDG Lends Architectural Expertise to Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity Project

An interdisciplinary team of Larson Design Group (LDG) designers is partnering with the Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity on a new build project in the heart of Williamsport, near our corporate headquarters.

Eight team members across LDG’s Buildings and Retail Groups have dedicated many volunteer hours to date in design development, construction documentation, and permitting for the project. LDG has kept to its original intention to volunteer for the building phase in the summer of 2020, staying involved and helping from start to finish.

“This project has been a great opportunity for us to share our professional abilities in support of an organization within the local community,” said Architectural Technician Kyle Therrien, who is spearheading the work from the LDG team. “We are excited to see the project through to completion.”

The Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity broke ground for the project in late May and work has been proceeding steadily ever since, with proper social distancing protocols and safety measures being followed on site with regards to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. To date, the site has been excavated and the basement panels have begun being placed for the start of a new home.
