Larson Design Group (LDG) employee-owners joined volunteers across the country to honor the 25th anniversary of September 11 through service, participating in 9/11 Day Meal Packing Events.
For 2026, this event called on 50,000 volunteers across 50+ U.S. cities to pack 18 million meals for families facing hunger — the largest single-day meal pack in American history.
LDG volunteers came together with members of five local communities including the National Veterans Memorial and Museum in Columbus, Ohio; the OKC Farmers Public Market in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; the Central Florida Fair in Orlando, Florida; State Farm Stadium in Phoenix, Arizona; and Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
For LDG, participating in 9/11 Day reflected one of our core values: stewardship. By giving our time and working alongside others, our employee-owners honored those impacted by September 11 while making a meaningful difference in the communities where we live and work.
Turning a Day of Remembrance into a Day of Service
9/11 Day began with a simple but powerful idea: transform the anniversary of one of our nation’s darkest days into a day dedicated to service and good deeds.
Twenty-five years later, millions of Americans continue to observe September 11 through volunteerism, community service, and acts of kindness in remembrance of those who lost their lives, those who served, and all those whose lives were forever changed.
Through 9/11 Day Meal Packing Events, thousands of volunteers gathered in cities across the country to pack meals for local communities while honoring the National Day of Service and Remembrance.

Honoring Through Service
The 25th anniversary of September 11 provided an opportunity to remember the lives lost, recognize the courage and sacrifice demonstrated that day and in the years that followed, and carry forward the spirit of unity and service that brought communities together.
