LDG Staff Celebrates Earth Day at Tree Planting Event

In celebration of Earth Day 2022 – and its ongoing commitment to its Core Value of stewardship – staff from Larson Design Group (LDG) participated in a tree planting event at a local nature preserve.

Eight team members volunteered their time on April 22 to plant trees, spread mulch, and install fencing in two different locations on the grounds of Rider Park, an 867-acre nature preserve north of Williamsport that offers hiking, trail running, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, and other activities.

A frequent visitor to the park, Travis Fox, Project Manager with LDG’s Water/Wastewater Team, spearheaded the volunteer effort by coordinating an opportunity for LDG team members to plant approximately 250 of the 2,000 trees the park recently received.

“It was a beautiful day to spend with coworkers planting trees,” Travis said. “We were proud to celebrate Earth Day and put our Core Value of stewardship into practice.”

LDG is also providing engineering services for upcoming trailhead improvements at the park.

LDG promotes stewardship in its communities as one of its core values, and each year provides stewardship time that employees can use for activities meant to improve and engage with the places in which they live and work.

Founded in 1986, LDG is an award-winning, 100 percent employee-owned national architecture, engineering and consulting firm with 15 offices in seven states and a vision to elevate client relationships, enrich the careers and lives of its employee-owners, and enhance the communities in which it operates.
