LDG Board of Directors Honored as Private Company Board of the Year

Larson Design Group (LDG) continues to garner awards as the firm’s contributions to the industry earn recognition – not only for innovative projects and dedicated professionals, but also for its positive and impactful business practices. LDG and its Board of Directors recently were honored with a 2021 Private Company Board of the Year award by Private Company Director magazine, which highlights business governance excellence.

The prestigious award was created in 2015 to recognize private companies that go above and beyond legal governance requirements and commit to the highest levels of governance, whether through fiduciary or advisory boards. The awards honor private company boards that best serve their stakeholders — owners, shareholders, employees and community — with best practices in their structure and performance.

LDG was chosen for this significant honor based on – among other factors – the Board’s committees, its guidance of the firm’s transition from to a 100% ESOP in 2019, and its assistance with developing the three-year strategic plan.

“At LDG, good governance means an effective Board and working closely with the management team, which results in a viable, successful, long-term company,” said LDG Board Chair John DiMarco. “It’s an honor for that hard work and collaboration to be recognized with this award.”

The LDG Board of Directors have been keenly focused on growing a sustainable company, built on best practices that balances business success and the professional success of employee-owners,” said President & CEO David Martin. “As LDG has developed into a high-performing national firm in the AEC markets, the strategic insight and guidance from the board has been instrumental to our success.”

The awards were given during the 2021 Private Company Governance Summit, held virtually June 9-11. A replay of the awards presentation, which took place June 9, is available here.
