We recently spoke to Jeremy Whitmoyer, an Associate Practice Manager with LDG’s Facilities and Building Engineering team based in our Williamsport, PA office, about his recent experience at the annual Waste Expo in New Orleans, LA.
What was the experience?
Waste Expo is the largest solid waste, recycling, organics, and sustainability trade show in North America. It’s an event where we get to network with our clients who serve these industries and see what the latest trends and emerging technologies are within the industry.
Tell us about it.
The convention hall at Waste Expo is filled with equipment and displays from companies who support the industry. One of the biggest trends this year in waste hauling was the continued introduction of electric-powered trucks.

What was your favorite takeaway? How can it apply to LDG?
Waste Expo is a great reminder that we are increasingly living in a circular economy. The solid waste and recycling industry that takes our discarded goods and returns them to reusable commodities is robust and continually evolving. We enjoy working with our clients in this sector and are excited to continue to support them with their projects.
