LDG Strengthens Environmental Services with new Senior Project Manager Ken Stockert

Larson Design Group (LDG)’s Environmental Services group is proud to welcome a new Senior Project Manager, as it expands both its staff and its capabilities in order to meet growing client demand.

Ken Stockert joins LDG with nearly 30 years of experience in the environmental field, including a service that LDG is pleased to now offer to its clients – the management and preparation of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents. Ken has worked extensively on NEPA subject matters including public participation, alternatives analysis, and Needs Statements. He has managed studies for farmlands, socioeconomic, cultural resources, hazardous waste, noise and air, and natural resources.

“Ken’s knowledge and background will allow LDG to take on projects with larger, more complex environmental tasks,” said Bryan Pauling, Director of Energy. “His NEPA expertise, as well as his experience with PennDOT and the PA Turnpike Commission, will add nicely to the range of services that our Environmental team already provides.”

Ken also has extensive experience with a full range of natural resource studies, having participated in studies from remote-sensing inventories through compensatory mitigation. He has conducted agency coordination activities including methodology development, impact presentation, and mitigation commitments. He also has directed field studies utilizing field crews of up to 20 members and his management experience includes budget oversight, scheduling, report production, and QA/QC.

Adding Ken to the LDG team brings a whole new dimension to our Environmental group,” said Dave Schaarsmith, Vice President of Infrastructure. “Ken’s experience will allow LDG to better serve our clients with environmental expertise and creates opportunities for growth and development of the Environmental Services we offer.
