PITTSBURGH, PA – Larson Design Group (LDG), an award-winning, employee-owned national architecture, engineering, and consulting firm, is proud to share that Health & Safety Manager Kristine Turley has been chosen as one of 50 recipients of the Advanced Safety Certificate (ASC) Scholarship for Veterans, given by the National Safety Council (NSC) in partnership with Boeing.
The nationally recognized ASC certificate “provides safety professionals with critical insights into industry best practices and skills needed to drive safety improvements within organizations,” according to the NSC.
The scholarship program helps veterans of the US armed forces obtain the certificate by covering all program costs and connecting them with a valuable professional network, helping strengthen and diversify the pipeline of skilled workers entering the environmental health and safety profession.
“LDG has a strong commitment to the safety and well-being of our employees, clients, and the communities in which we operate,” said LDG Chief Human Resources Officer Terry Krezmer. “Since Kristine joined the firm in 2024, she has brought an unwavering dedication to the continued growth of the safety culture through collaboration, ongoing education and fostering an environment for open dialog. She is more than deserving of this scholarship’s honor.”

Kristine’s distinguished service in the US Army from 2000 to 2009 exemplifies her versatility and mission-focused mindset. Serving as a Paratrooper, Fuel Supply Specialist, and Operational Missions Leader in overseas operations, she consistently demonstrated leadership and adaptability, contributing significantly to organizational success.
The ASC scholarship will provide Kristine with a seat in the National Safety Council’s ASC training program, offering career development opportunities, registration and travel accommodations for the 2025 NSC Safety Congress & Expo. This expo features technical sessions, keynote addresses, networking opportunities and over 1,000 exhibitors.
