Accolades: LDG Celebrates New A4LE Leadership Roles for Angie Clarkson and Matthew Pierzchala

Through Accolades, LDG shares news of awards, rankings, and professional achievements that recognize our people, our hard work, and our exceptional client service.

At Larson Design Group (LDG), our team is deeply engaged in shaping educational environments that support student success. Two of our architectural professionals have recently assumed leadership positions within the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE), a global, interdisciplinary organization dedicated to advancing high-performing learning environments.

Angela Clarkson Named President of A4LE Oklahoma Chapter

Angela (Angie) Clarkson, IIDA, ALEP, has been elected President of the A4LE Oklahoma Chapter. Angie’s leadership within the Oklahoma chapter builds on her earlier professional distinction as an Accredited Learning Environment Planner (ALEP). Her work at LDG continues to influence school communities through innovative, student-centered design.

“Angie’s appointment as President of the A4LE Oklahoma Chapter is a reflection of her leadership, credibility, and long-standing commitment to improving learning environments,” said Jeff Wegener, Senior Practice Manager. “She brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to everything she does, and that perspective will serve the chapter extremely well.”

Matthew Pierzchala Named Director of Communications for A4LE Florida Chapter

Matthew Pierzchala, AIA, NCARB, ALEP, WELL AP has been appointed Director of Communications for the A4LE Florida Chapter. Matthew’s appointment underscores his ability to support the educational design profession through strategic communication, helping the Florida chapter connect with practitioners, school leaders, and allied professionals.

“Matthew’s role as Director of Communications for the A4LE Florida Chapter aligns perfectly with his strengths,” said Jeff Wegener. “He understands how clear, consistent communication supports engagement and impact, and his work will help elevate the chapter’s visibility and connection with its members.”

Leadership Beyond the Workplace

These appointments highlight the impact LDG professionals make beyond client projects, contributing leadership, expertise, and energy to professional communities that shape the future of learning environments. Through A4LE, Angela and Matthew are helping advance collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and innovation across the education facilities design field.
