Veteran Architect Kretz Joins Larson Design Group as Federal Market Opportunities Expand

Veteran architect Ronald W. Kretz, AIA – who has created and led large federal architecture and multi-discipline engineering programs nationwide – has been named Director of Architecture-Federal Programs for LDG Federal, a division of Larson Design Group, one of the largest architectural, engineering and survey firms in the region and a Pittsburgh Business Times 2018 “Fast 50” award winner.

Kretz has nearly 30 years’ experience providing architecture, design and project management, most recently with Michael Baker International, CH2M and L.R. Kimball/CDI Corp. He has served a variety of municipal, private, commercial, federal, aviation, healthcare and educational clients throughout the United States.

Since its launch last year, LDG Federal has captured defense and federal agency contracts to furnish multi-disciplinary design services directly for the federal government or partnered with construction contractors in a design-build delivery process. Among its recent projects are facilities for the U.S. Postal Service, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in the continental U.S. and internationally, the National Guard and the U.S. Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM).

“This investment will supercharge our pursuit of growth opportunities with the federal market, the largest procurer of AE and professional services in the world,” said chief operating officer David Martin. “Ron will be responsible to develop and deliver federal contracts as well as provide strategic leadership for our teams.”
