David Martin, PE

Dave brings to his position a concentrated focus on client service and more than 30 years of experience in operations management, project management, business development and growing companies, both organically and through strategic acquisition. 

Dave assumed the role of President and Chief Executive Officer in 2020 after four years as Chief Operating Officer. He has been instrumental in scaling up LDG’s operations, using his extensive market experience, business development knowledge and team-centered philosophies. His operational leadership and strategic planning expertise have allowed the company to enhance performance and increase value to clients, enabling LDG to continue its transformation into an award-winning, nationally recognized, employee-owned firm. 

As President and CEO, David guides the overall operational success and growth of the firm in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team. He leads the development and implementation of the annual business plans and multi-year strategic plans to achieve the company’s vision and goals for growth and performance. David also oversees the development and implementation of enterprise wide initiatives to drive a high-performing sales and project delivery culture. 

David is a registered Professional Engineer, holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and has completed graduate engineering and MBA business studies at the University of South Carolina and Clemson University. He also is a graduate of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Senior Executives Institute. A dedicated and energetic community leader, David is a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh, serves as a board member for the Carnegie Science Center and was a building committee member for the Center’s new PPG Science Pavilion.
