Experienced Traffic Project Manager Chabak Joins LDG to Support Transportation Projects

Experienced traffic engineer Gene Chabak has joined the Lititz office of Larson Design Group to support a wide array of transportation design projects. He has more than 27 years of planning and design experience for Pennsylvania’s transportation infrastructure. In addition to improving safety and improved mobility, he has completed projects, throughout the Commonwealth, which have increased efficiency and productivity. His work has ranged from highways, city streets and local roads to intersections, studies, drainage, signage and recreational trails.

Chabak has served clients such as PennDOT Districts 5-0 and 8-0, the Tri-County Regional Transportation Planning Commission, the Capital Area Greenbelt Association and local municipalities. He is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) of America and American Society of Highway Engineers. He received his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering in 1989 from The Pennsylvania State University.

“Gene’s leadership and experience add to our traffic engineering expertise to support our diverse transportation, site and energy clients,” said Joe L. Romano IV, highway engineering director in LDG’s Lititz office. “At a time when significant funding is increasing, he will add an important transportation planning niche for our clients.”

LDG’s transportation engineers, designers, and technicians provide award-winning highway and bridge design and construction inspection services.  LDG projects vary in complexity, from small traffic studies to major interstate improvements and from small bridge culverts to larger bridge structures, often with unique technical challenges and tight time schedules.
