LDG’s Rhodes Elected to Board of WTS International in Pittsburgh

Larson Design Group’s Damon Rhodes, P.E., leader of the Pittsburgh/Wexford offices, has joined the WTS International – Pittsburgh Chapter board of directors.

WTS International was founded in 1977 by a group of pioneering women in transportation who realized that women’s careers would benefit from professional development, encouragement and recognition to support their advancement. Now, after more than 40 years, it has 79 international chapters and more than 6,500 members. The Pittsburgh chapter was established in 2015.

Rhodes also is LDG’s director of business development for transportation services as part of the firm’s Transportation Division. He successfully has built LDG’s award-winning construction inspection team which helped inspect the Greenfield Bridge reconstruction along the Parkway West, capturing the “2017 Transportation Project of the Year” bestowed by the Engineers Society of Western Pennsylvania. He also has played a coordinating role in LDG’s multi-award-winning Trillium CNG program with PennDOT which is supplying locally sourced compressed natural gas to more than 1,600 public transit buses at 29 agencies to save fuel and operational costs at a net zero development cost to taxpayers. He is a past president of Friends of the Riverfront and past ESWP board director.

LDG is an emerging national architectural, engineering and survey firm with 10 offices in four states. More: www.larsondesigngroup.com
