Professional Surveyor Brad Goodballet Joins LDG in Support of Geospatial Projects

Professional Surveyor Brad L. Goodballet has joined Larson Design Group’s Beaver office, bringing his multi-disciplined knowledge base to a variety of geospatial projects. Goodballet is a licensed professional surveyor in both Pennsylvania and Ohio with a comprehensive knowledge in civil engineering – a rare combination of experience that Gary Sheets, GISP, Director of Geospatial Services, knows is valuable for LDG.

“From a client standpoint, Brad’s diverse surveying and engineering experiences provide a unique perspective, allowing him to foresee potential issues and identify solutions before the project schedule and budget are impacted,” Sheets said. “Internally, he’s an advantage to both field teams and project managers, because his broad understanding serves as a bridge between field crews and design teams, improving communication and ultimately our final products. We’re excited to have that kind of experience at LDG.”

Goodballet has 30 years of experience as both a surveyor and engineer, working on projects that range from establishing horizontal and vertical control for over 3,500 acres of land encompassing the largest railroad switching yards in the Eastern United States, to engineering and design of 181-acre, 400-unit apartment/condominium project, to a $2.9 million dollar sewer extension to outlying Pennsylvania municipalities included sewage pumping stations, aerial crossings and right-of-way acquisition.

LDG’s geospatial team provides precision surveying, mapping, GIS (geographic information systems) and asset management programs to transform our clients’ decisions in planning, design and operation maintenance into strategic goals that align with their asset portfolios.
