Jason Bellis, PE
Project Manager - Water/Wastewater/Office Leader
Jason takes a very common-sense and long-term approach to design and lifecycle analysis of water and sewage, stormwater and land development facilities. His style of teaming with trusted manufacturers and specialists before, during and after the design process – to handle inevitable future changes in maintenance, treatment and equipment performance – has led to a cadre of satisfied repeat clients. He understands the interlocking pieces of complex design puzzles, grasps everyone’s role and contribution and how to troubleshoot obstacles early-on.
For Tioga Downs, Jason has grown an initial water/wastewater assignment into LDG’s comprehensive role as the raceway and casino’s civil engineering firm of record. For the Village of Greene, NY, he helped the client adapt to unforeseen soil conditions and nimbly find grant funding to demolish and rebuild a water collection plant – and has published about the project in the Spring 2017 issue of Clear Waters Magazine of the New York Water Environment Association. His experience is diverse, spanning the design of K-12 athletic facilities to value engineering of West Coast military bases to quality reviews of Department of Defense projects in Saudi Arabia.
An active community steward, Jason is a member of the school board of Tioga Central School District and past member of the Tioga County Planning Board and the county’s Regional Planning and Development Board. He is vice chair of the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York’s Southern Tier and is an accredited interscholastic coach and officer with youth football and wrestling.
Jason is the office leader for Apalachin.
