In continuing its close professional relationship with Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, Larson Design Group (LDG) recently partnered with the college for a unique networking experience for students.
A group of more than 20 students and faculty from Penn College visited LDG’s headquarters to hear from senior leaders about the company, tour the office, learn about job and internship opportunities, meet Penn College alumni working for LDG and gain invaluable career advice from LDG’s 25-year-veteran CEO, Keith Kuzio.
“We have a great relationship with Penn College because we see great value in the quality of education they provide to students in these critical career paths and they see the value and opportunity that LDG provides as a growing national architecture, engineering and consulting firm,” said Hannah Darkey, LDG’s Talent Manager. “The networking at the event was even stronger than we anticipated. Many students brought portfolios with them and were able to have great conversations with professionals in their field of interest.”
Hannah says there are plans to host additional events in which students can dive deeper into the hands-on learning about what engineers in different specialties do on a day-to-day basis. The company is also hoping to extend events to high-school students considering Penn College, as well as host similar networking opportunities in some of the other 10 LDG offices in the future.
Founded in 1986, Larson Design Group is an award-winning national architecture, engineering and planning firm with 11 offices in four states and a vision to elevate client relationships, enrich the careers and lives of its employee-owners, and enhance the communities in which it operates.
