Larson Design Group Wins $650,000 City of Pittsburgh Traffic Signal Construction Inspection Contract

The City of Pittsburgh has selected Larson Design Group (LDG) of Pittsburgh to provide construction management and inspection services for traffic signal upgrades at 10 intersections in the City’s Central Business District.

The contract, worth more than $665,000, will begin later this year and is expected to be completed in November 2019.

“LDG has extensive expertise in transportation design and construction services. We’re excited to be partnering with the City of Pittsburgh on this important project to improve transportation and traffic flow within the city,” said Damon Rhodes, director of construction services for Larson Design Group’s Transportation Division.

The project marks LDG’s first transportation contract with the City as a prime consultant. Statewide, LDG’s serves the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission as well as a host of counties and municipalities on a wide range of highway and bridge design and construction inspection projects. In Beaver County, LDG recently provided bridge inspection services for the 1,908-foot-long Ambridge-Aliquippa Bridge, a historic steel cantilever through truss structure crossing the Ohio River.
