What is your position here at Larson Design Group and when did you join LDG?
My position here at Larson Design Group is Senior Architectural Designer in our Harrisburg office and I started with LDG on November 4, 2019.
Describe a typical day in your role:
My typical day Larson Design Group is to review drawings at the design development to construction drawing levels. I also do the due diligence or site investigation reports for our retail projects.
What attracted you to join Larson Design Group originally?
The thing that most attracted me to Larson Design Group was the company size, stability, and diverse job opportunities.
How has Larson Design Group helped you in your career development?
Larson Design Group has helped me in my career development by giving me the opportunity to teach and mentor younger to newer staff in the field of design and construction.
What is your proudest moment at Larson Design Group?
The proudest moment at Larson Design Group is seeing the team improve in areas of architecture and learning more of what is involved in putting a construction set of drawings together and making the client happy and proud to have chosen Larson Design Group to be their architect on record.
If you could switch places with anyone else at Larson Design Group for a day, who would it be and why?
If I could switch places with someone at Larson Design Group for a day, that would be David Balzer. David has taken an interest in my progression in becoming a registered architect and has given me encouragement and direction on how to be confident in myself and to trust what I have learned over the past 35 years in the architectural field.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
What most people do not know about me is that I am an avid sailor owning a small sailboat moored at Pinchot State Park and am an advanced open water scuba diver.
What advice do you have for a prospective candidate considering Larson Design Group?
My advice for a prospective candidate considering Larson Design Group would be to know that there is room for training, advancement in due time and a friendly work environment.
