LDG Stewardship Remained Strong in 2020

Despite the dramatic changes necessitated by the global COVID-19 pandemic, Larson Design Group (LDG) remained committed to its closely held core value of stewardship and improving the quality of life in the communities in which we live and work. In 2020, even as social distancing became the norm and volunteer opportunities were limited, LDG team members still found a way to donate their own time to various community organizations and causes.

Last year, 50 employees from eight of LDG’s 12 offices volunteered 259 hours for more than 25 organizations. Some of these volunteer activities were virtual versions of normal events, like online career fairs or fundraising via Zoom, but many related to COVID-specific circumstances, such as providing food for children who lost their reliance on meals served at school. Local school districts including Montoursville, Keystone Central and Williamsport Area were among those helped by LDG employees in these efforts.

LDG also contributed to other COVID relief effortsdonating to Beyond the Laptops, which provided laptops and internet access to Pittsburgh-area students as schools transitioned to virtual learningIn Columbus, Ohio, LDG team members donated drinks and grab-and-go snacks to the hardworking nurses and doctors at a COVID unit at Riverside Hospital.

“LDG and its employees have an unwavering commitment to community stewardship,” said Terry Krezmer, Chief Human Resources OfficerWe are fortunate to work for a company that provides time for its employees every year to give back to our communities, and I’m proud that our employees found creative ways to support our communities in these challenging times.
