LDG Receives Prestigious GIS Partner Award

Larson Design Group (LDG) was honored with the Web GIS Transformation Award at the recent 2020 Esri Partner Conference.

The conference recognized 19 companies that have demonstrated outstanding achievement as an Esri partner across categories including alignment with the ArcGIS platform, delivering innovative solutions, and helping customers succeed.

As a member of the Esri Partner Network, LDG has a unique ability to give clients inventive solutions to spatial challenges. Capabilities extend to projects that require data collection, mapping, data conversion, database design, modeling and analysis. The team is proud to work with clients to develop tailored solutions.

“We are honored to be recognized by Esri with 2020 Web GIS Transformation Award, and I am incredibly proud of our Geospatial team and our clients,” said Gary Sheets Jr., GISP, LDG’s Director of Geospatial. “Their creativity and innovative approaches to problem solving, operational efficiencies and stakeholder engagement truly are making a difference in the communities where we work and live.”

Recent innovative projects include:

  • The Citizen Report: Developed for the municipalities of Beaver County, the Citizen Reporter application allows for a standardized methodology for crowdsourcing information from residents and visitors while providing a means for individual municipalities to share localized issues, identify trends that may cross political borders, and work together to address regional challenges.
  • Ithaca Sanitary Sewer System Capacity/Requirements Analysis: With an aging and taxed infrastructure, LDG’s water/wastewater and geospatial teams developed a geometric network for the town of Ithaca, NY that integrates information about the existing system and demographic forecasts and compares it to current capacity and projected future needs.
  • Wind Farm Property Manager: This application focuses on the program management and coordination of the field activities associated with property boundary surveys for a large wind farm project in western New York state. The mobile application provides field workers with daily assignments and information related to the property entry restrictions, while providing a means to share information with the entire project team. Stakeholders can monitor progress, track upcoming activities and adjust efforts as alignment or priorities change.
