LDG’s Wexford Office Community Stewardship Day

Employees of Larson Design Group are receiving eight paid hours per person this year to provide community stewardship services firmwide. Our Wexford office is partnering with a small local animal rescue, Sad Tails of PA (S.T.O.P.) of Wolfe Run Road in Freedom, Beaver County to organize multiple volunteer days this summer to provide much needed attention and exercise to resident shelter dogs. The activities have included walking, teaching basic obedience, desired playtime, cleanup and work days with opportunities for adoption/fostering if desired. More importantly, LDG’s goal is to help spread the word about this small local shelter which doesn’t receive much public exposure. S.T.O.P. owners JoAnn Thielman and Rozanne Wilson are always in need of donations such as dog food, old blankets, collars, bowls, leashes and toys to benefit the animals. LDG’s Wexford office employees Damon Rhodes, David Baum and Katie Christman are leading the initiative. Said Rhodes, “As an office, we chose animal rescue for two reasons, first the immediate and local impact it has in our community, and second because stewardship is one of the core values of our firm. In my opinion, that’s a win-win.”
