Our staff includes LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professionals who understand the principles involved in building green. While buildings must meet a minimum of criteria in order to become LEED® certified, clients can still incorporate green building components into their project if they choose not to pursue certification. Up front, the cost of building green may be increased; but in the long run, facilities that save energy cost less to operate. Small changes make a big difference.
Sustainable, or green, design decreases a facility’s consumption of raw materials by using recycled or sustainable materials and developing re-use methods. Over the lifetime operation of a facility, costs can be greatly minimized while longevity and value are increased.
Studies show that vitality and productivity can be fostered through the right indoor environment. Simple sustainable design methods like using more natural light and low-VOC paints help building occupants feel a greater sense of well-being, which can lead to decreased turnover and sick time for employers.
Today, leaders are making decisions that improve the future, and we are determined to help interested clients take advantage of the added value in sustainable design.
