ViMod – Vision in Your Hands

ViMod-Vision-in-Your-Hands
ViMods can help you visualize site and land development as well as building structures.

We are committed to using the best technology to translate ideas into projects including the ability to print 3D objects in-house. These printed objects can be as basic as a box, or as complex as a detailed wastewater treatment plant. The technology is known as rapid prototyping. It is a unique form of printing that creates these objects by layering and connecting successive cross sections of material. It has been proven that by introducing visualization into the design process, the potential for improving design efficiency and quality increases. Along with these 3D models, we also offer other visualization services such as elevation drawings, renderings, and animations.

What is a 3D Model?

A three-dimensional form, modeled with CAD software and printed out in a powder/glue binder medium rather than paper.
We can provide services for your 3D visualization project, including:

  • Rapid Prototyping (3D Models)
  • Project Management
  • Other visualization services available, including:
    • Elevation Drawings
    • Renderings
    • Animations

Where are these 3D models produced?

We have a three-dimensional printer at our headquarters office in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. This is where we produce the models.

How will I benefit from ordering a model of my project?

By introducing our visualization services into your project, the design process will be more streamlined. You and your design team will have a tangible element that will allow for interactive adjustments as your vision evolves into its final stages. It has been proven that by introducing visualization into the design process, the potential for improving design efficiency and quality increases. After all, it’s easier to understand the lines on a 2D drawing if you can physically see them as a 3D model.

Where can I order a 3D Model?

Feel free to contact your Larson Design Group Project Manager for more information on obtaining a model specific to your needs, or contact Robert Gehr at (877) 323-6603 or via rjg@larsondesigngroup.com.

What is the lead time if I order one today?

Production time is based on the complexity and size of the model specific to your project. Your Project Manager will be able to provide you with an estimate.

How much does a model cost?

Much like production time, model prices vary depending on size and complexity. Your Project Manager will also be able to provide you with a quote based on your specific needs.
