Sonestown Covered Bridge #2 Rehabilitation

Larson Design Group (LDG) provided structural design, rehabilitation, bidding, and construction inspection services for the historic Sonestown Covered Bridge, a 110-foot, burr arch truss that was damaged and closed to traffic after a September 2011 flood event. The rehabilitation included abutment repairs, replacing low chord members, repair to timber trusses, replacing the timber siding, and removing large sediment deposits in the stream adjacent to the bridge.
