Description

The existing bridge structure was replaced with a two-span multi-steel curved girder. LDG incorporated unique aesthetic treatments to accommodate the bridge’s environmentally sensitive location.

The design of the superstructure was complicated by the tight horizontal curvature of the roadway that extended across the bridge. To accommodate this, curved girders, with an average radius of 150 feet, were used on the structure. This required a three-dimensional finite element design for the superstructure.
