Riverwoods Pharmacy
Albright Care Services, Lewisburg, PA
An Adaptive Reuse that Modified an Existing School House into a Campus Pharmacy.
Albright Care Services is a non-profit corporation providing elderly care and housing options throughout Pennsylvania’s Susquehanna Valley. The corporation decided to reuse its existing school house on the Riverwoods Campus in Lewisburg as their pharmacy. As part of that rehabilitation, they aimed to add additional space to the western side of the building for administrative and delivery functions, which would minimize the impacts on the residences in the immediate area.
We worked with Albright to develop a design that met these needs, including full architectural design services. Conceptual site and building plans were designed, researching new finishes, materials, and code requirements. Structural design/geotechnical investigations were prepared to document the necessary requirements for renovations and the new addition. Electrical/mechanical/and plumbing design was provided to complete datacom needs, and site development, including grading and drainage, was provided. We provided construction administration on the project. The newly renovated pharmacy will provide services for the entire Riverwoods campus.
