Description
This renovated County Nursing Home now houses Lycoming County’s Department of Public Safety (including “911” Center), U.S. Department of Agriculture, Lycoming County Agriculture Center and related County offices. Mechanical/electrical system replacements included new plumbing, HVAC, power distribution, lighting and telecommunication systems. This system complimented the interior architectural renewal of wall, ceiling, floor, window and door systems.
Lycoming County work release crews assisted with both phases of construction. In Phase 2 of the project, the work release crews saved the County $131,000, or 30% of the estimated project cost. The contractors, Larson Architectural Group, and work-release personnel, worked very closely together to help these projects succeed.
